The Michigan Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), PA 422 of 1976 as amended, gives the public the right to submit a written request to inspect, copy or receive copies of public records from the Township and its departments, and to subscribe to regular issuances of public records. Recent amendments to the FOIA (PA 563 of 2014) took effect on July 1, 2015. The Township Board amended the Township's FOIA Policy on June 23, 2015 with specific written procedures and guidelines for implementing the FOIA.
