Greenmead Historical Park brings Livonia’s past into a setting visitors can explore on foot. The city acquired this 95-acre property in 1976. Today, historic farm buildings and a 13-building village help explain how the community developed.
The park also includes community gardens, soccer fields and the Virginia B. Matley Nature Trail. A walk around the grounds and a guided building tour offer different experiences; check the tour schedule before planning an indoor visit.
Greenmead is at 20501 Newburgh Road. The official park page lists seasonal programs, registration requirements and visitor information.
