  • Financial Sustainability Committee & Retired Employees Health Care Benefits TrustMinutes and agendas are posted on Minutes on Demand which can be accessed from the Public Meetings page. Meetings begin at 8:00 AM quarterly on the Thursday following the second Board of Trustees meeting in that month in the Township Auditorium. In the event a meeting date needs to be changed, the co-trustees will be notified and a notice will be posted at Township Hall, as well as the Township’s website.
  • Zoning Board of AppealsThe Planning Division ensures that the long-range land use planning for the Township follows the defined goals of the community through review of all development activity. It provides professional administrative staff to the Planning Commission, Zoning Board of Appeals and Design Review Board. Administrative duties include preparation of agendas, coordination of reviews and public notification, site development inspection, review of construction permits for zoning ordinance compliance, site plan review, design and sign review and processing of all rezoning and lot split requests.   • Public MeetingsThe Election Commission will hold a meeting in the Bloomfield Township Auditorium on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. for the purposes of conducting the public accuracy test on the voter assist terminal. There will be a Planning Commission meeting on Wednesday, November 4, 2026 instead of Monday, November 2, 2026 due to the election. The Planning Commission meeting scheduled for Monday, October 19, 2026 has been cancelled.
  • Public Safety Infrastructure BondThis November voters will have the opportunity to consider a bond proposal to build two new public safety buildings. At the August 10, 2026 Bloomfield Township Board of Trustees meeting, the board approved ballot language to ask voters for 50 million dollars to construct a new police and fire station. Shall the Charter Township of Bloomfield, Oakland County, Michigan, borrow an amount not to exceed Fifty Million Dollars ($50,000,000) and issue its general obligation unlimited tax bonds in one or more series for the purpose of acquiring, constructing, furnishing and equipping Township Facilitie
