- Pen 1 Meeting NoticeClick Here for the notice and agenda for the Pension 1 Board Meeting to be held on 10/27/2026 at 10:30 am, and note that the location for this meeting has been changed to 4300 S. Dearborn.
- Notice of Plan Availability For Review: Parks and Recreation Master PlanThe City of Melvindale is seeking public input regarding the Melvindale 2027-2031 Parks and Recreation Master Plan. The Michigan Department of Natural Resources requires a minimum 30 day public review process as part of the master planning process. A formal public hearing for adoption of the Plan will be held upon completion of the 30-day review period at the regularly scheduled City Council meeting on October 21, 2026. A hard copy of the draft master plan is available for review at the following locations:

- DIA Inside Out – MelvindaleThe Detroit Institute of Arts INSIDE OUT project has displayed 8 paintings at various locations such as public buildings, parks, and recreational sites throughout our city, thanks to the cooperative efforts of the Melvindale Public Library.
